  2. Once the pressure is released, give a nice stir.
  3. Heat oil and ghee in a ladle, add all the tempering ingredients.
  4. Temper and mix it along with the cooked dal and rice. Stir nicely
  5. Lovely venpongal ready to be served with chutney or sambar.
