- Add sugar and mix in well, let reduce for another 10-15 and take pan off fire
- Add your bourbon and flambé the sauce till the fire is out(when u flambé it intensifies the bourbon flavor while removing the harsh alcohol and leaving most of the suger behind)
- Let sit for 10-20 mins and taste, of to your liking take off fire and blend the mixture, push through a fine strainer so u get a smooth liquid
- Let sit on fire on a low simmer till it becomes a glaze, regularly checking with a spoon
- Serve with your fav meats!!
Cherry Bourbon Barbecue Sauce - I used Four Roses Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Jameson & Ginger Cocktail - I used Irish Whiskey this time. Maple apple bourbon glaze is a tangy accompaniment to chicken or pork and is perfect of holiday dinners. For the glaze, heat the brown sugar, bourbon and soy sauce in a pan and cook until the volume of liquid has reduced by half, but not quite a syrup. Bring drippings and remaining glaze to a boil in a small saucepan.
