  5. Take 16 cm Japanese leek
  6. Take 2 tsp Homemade Lard from
  7. Get 2 tsp Homemade sauce from(or garlic infused soy-sauce as a substitute)
  8. Get 1 dash Salt and pepper
  9. Make ready 1 dash Umami seasoning
  10. Make ready 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Add bell pepper and cook and stir for another minute. Cook and stir until rice is heated through. Return egg mixture to wok and mix well. Mexican fried rice is a fun twist on fried rice and a delicious all-in-one dinner with ground turkey, onions and peppers, black beans and corn, salsa and rice.

  3. Mix and loosen up the eggs. You can add an extra egg if you'd like!
  4. Heat up your frying pan, then pour in the vegetable oil. Best if you use a wok.
  5. Add the eggs from Step 3 to the pan from Step 4. Ideally, the eggs should start sizzling and bubble up immediately.
  6. Mix briskly with a wooden spatula. Work quickly from hereon.
  7. Add the cooked rice to pan. The rice should be reasonably warm.
  8. Toss and shake your pan, mixing the egg and rice together.
  9. Once the rice and egg are combined, quickly introduce the minced leeks.
  10. Then immediately throw in the minced char siu as well.
  11. Toss your pan and stir-fry the rice, making sure that the big clumps of rice are flaking up.
  12. Add salt and pepper as well as the umami seasoning to taste.
  13. Add in the homemade lard. Stir-frying with a little bit of lard with give your grains of rice a nice sheen.
  14. Toss the pan multiple times so the lard coats the grains of rice evenly.
  15. Then pour in the homemade sauce, combining it well with the fried rice.Shake the pan some more – this is quite important.
  16. When there aren't any more clumps left in the rice and it's become glossy, taste and adjust the seasoning to taste.
