But Tofu is a vegan substitute and is equally delicious as paneer 🙂 I think my Tofu butter masala turned out exactly same as Paneer butter masala , even in the taste because I fried tofu very well, till crispy and it helped retained the texture of Tofu similar to Paneer. Pat the tofu dry with kitchen paper and tear it into bite-sized chunks. Put the cornflour and salt into a sandwich bag or plastic container.

  1. Take a pan and add half of mentioned butter then add ginger+garlic+cumin seeds+cashews+onion+tomato
  2. Roast them for 5 minutes just to make them soft.now add all the spices salt,red chilli powder,kitchen king,turmeric,coriander powder,cumin powder,sugar,garam masala,curry leaves,kasoori methi,black pepper all the spices in short.
  3. Add one cup water and cover at low medium flame.it will cook by itself.it will take 20 to 25 minutes to cook well.add more little water so it would not burn
  4. After 25 minutes blend it as a smooth paste and strain.straining is optional.now on another flat pan add some oil and roast the dices of tofu.
  5. Add hung curd or whipped cream with milk and add it to blended gravy with left butter.mix well at low flame and stir for one minute then add roasted tofu
