Flour Tortillas - Flautas are the perfect finger food thanks to their handheld size! Avoid those labeled "Burrito Tortillas" for this recipe, and stick with standard, taco-sized flour tortillas. Before we get started it's worth mentioning that Flautas sometimes moonlight as Taquitos, and vice versa.

Steps to make Chicken Flautas:
  1. Cook chicken breast with salt, pepper, garlic power or fresh, add 1/4 piece of onion. When cooked take breast ou and shred.
  2. In a pan or “comal” warm up tortilla to soften so they don’t break when you roll them up with the chicken.
  3. Put corn oil in pan, once it’s hot started adding the rolled up tortillas with chicken and fry.

In Mexico, Flautas are traditionally made with corn tortillas. In the States, it's common to distinguish Flautas by their use of flour tortillas, and if using corn tortillas they'll be called Taquitos. Place chicken mixture in each tortilla, roll up tightly and secure with toothpick. I recommend putting tortilla in oil immediately, as they tend to crack and come apart if left sitting.
