- Keep stirring and reduce heat to medium-low. continue to cook for an additional 20 minutes.
- Make sure you cool completely before putting in the refrigerator. I usually let my pots sit for hours before I put it away. remember the chili gets hotter after a couple days!

I think it turned out well,, that do not use Rotel tomatoes with green chili and green chili it might be a bit spicy for kids, you can cool it off with some sour cream homemade chips and cheese. arianamanus. I substituted the canned green chili with a frozen hot green chili. New Mexico chili is green and spicy. Made with pork and also without beans.
